Our mission is to combat the obesity epidemic by tackling its root causes, while providing the latest, safest and most effective evidence-based treatments including medications, mindset coaching, nutrition education and lifestyle guidance. Our overarching goal is to bring your body into better alignment with self, which will organically lead to sustained weight loss and improved confidence.

Our Story

ALiGN was born from a program I developed at my practice on Martha’s Vineyard. Board-certified in family practice, I had treated obesity and obesity-related conditions for many years - but with only 10% of Americans sustaining their weight loss long term and obesity rates continuing to climb, I knew there HAD to be something better. This was when I took a deep dive into understanding the biological, behavioral, and environmental factors underlying obesity and was able to design a magic formula in not only safely achieving weight loss, but sustaining it long term (which is key!). 


How do I know? I did it myself. And watched many others on my program do the same. Watching the vast impact it's had for so many patients in my practice inspired me to bring it to the masses in a telemedicine platform and make it possible for people all across the country to get ALiGNed and live their best lives.

To provide customized and safe weight loss solutions that help clients reach their desired goals for optimal health and wellness, while meeting them where they are at in the process. Our proprietary methodology creates a biologic milieu conducive for understanding the root causes of their habits and developing the skills necessary for sustained weight loss. Our approach promotes alignment of self on a holistic level and provides tools focused on balancing mindset, fitness and nutrition needs, while creating a sustainable lifestyle that can be maintained over time. We embrace the idea that lasting weight management is a process and strive to create a customized, supportive and successful weight loss experience for every client.

Core Program Principles

Our core principle is ALIGNment. Alignment requires balance - not indulgence, nor deprivation. Healthy weight loss cannot be sustained without balance and holistic alignment of the body, mind and spirit. Our program was designed to support each of these elements, as we seek to help patients understand the root causes of their habits to make the changes necessary to achieve optimal health and sustained weight loss - not a quick fix. When holistic alignment is achieved, a stronger sense of self and purpose emerges.

Core Intake Principles

We do not try to restrict your eating; instead we encourage you to rebalance it, while listening to your body’s response to what you give it. We do not encourage the use of meal replacements, shakes or special foods. Instead we teach you optimal nutrition with REAL foods that support sustained weight loss. We encourage increasing whole food options and limiting processed foods. Food is nurturing: it is fuel and information for our bodies, and when used in the right ways, it can be medicine and part of the healing process.


We are providing tools to build a healthy relationship with food, while not depriving yourself or labeling foods as “good” or “bad”. We want you to enjoy food and not force yourself to eat foods you do not like. To be a lifestyle, it must be sustainable; and it can only be sustainable if it makes you happy. It all circles back to the core principles of balance and alignment.
